    In Japan, there are places which are famous for farming. For example, Hokkaido prefecture is so. It has many huge grounds for farming. "Koiwai", it is in Iwate prefecture, is famous, too. "Koiwai" is the brand name of milk and it is sold in many stores in Japan.

     Rice is a diet in Japan. One of the brand of rice is "Kosihikari" which is originally made in Niigata prefecture. It is a standard way to eat cooked rice with salt or miso soup. We call rice with salt "Ginshari". It is simple taste but very delicious. I like it. Please try it.

     Today, I'd like to raise three questions about COTS.

First, What is the impression of the COTS to public?
Second, How do people who belong to the COTS Shelter become independent?
Third, What do the staff of the COTS Shelter think about "homeless"?

This must be a good opportunity to think about "homelessness".

Lake Champlain Chocolate Factory

     Today, we went to the Lake Champlain Chocolate Factory. Our teacher took us there by a van. According to a mini lecture, it was founded in 1983. I was surprised at the beginning of it. It was started by a chef of a restaurant. It started from a trivial thing. The guide woman also told the difference in black or white or milk chocolate. We can also taste them. They were delicious and sweet. I was happy because I love chocolates. I want to eat chocolates when I'm writing this post. It was a great time!

Self Introduction

Hi.

My name is Tomotaka Ninomiya, plese call me Tomo. I'm from Japan and live in Tokyo. I have one younger sister and a cat named "kuu". I'm nineteen years old. 

I like music. I have played the oboe, a classical  musical instrument, for 5 years. I belonged to an orchestra club in my high school. These days,  I'm interested in a guitar, especially Flamenco guitar. I have been learning it since last May. It is very difficult but I hope I will be able to play it in front of others someday. So I often listen to music, especially, Japanese pop music and classic. My favorite Japanese band is "Mr.Children" and "YMO(Yellow Magic Orchestra)" Please check them. There is one of famous Japanese flamenco guitarists, Oki Jin. Please, check him, too. In classic music, I like Ravel.

 I'm also interested in western arts. Last spring term, at my university, I took the class for western arts. I like to visit art museums. In Boston trip, I went to the Fine Arts Museum. There are many pictures by famous painters - Velázquez, Rubens, Renoir and so on. I was very moved. 

I'll try my best in my class and I want to improve my English skills.
